ASAIO 2020 Meeting Abstracts for Nursing and Allied Health OPEN
As nurses and allied health caring for patients with artificial and/or implantable organs, this is our opportunity to inform the society and the public regarding our roles and the impact of our work on outcomes in this complex and high acuity patient population, which includes:
- Artificial hearts - total
- Artificial kidneys
- Artificial lungs
- Artificial pancreas
- Intra-aortic balloon pumps
- Insulin pumps
- Ventricular assist devices
Types of abstracts include: original research, theory or conceptual model development, secondary data analyses, systematic reviews, quality or performance improvement projects, or clinical case reports relevant to the advancement of nursing science, education, and policy underpinning the scope of nursing practice in artificial/implantable across the life span and care continuum. The deadline for submission is February 3, 2020.
Finally, we strongly encourage all of you to join this exciting, intellectually stimulating, and highly collaborative interdisciplinary society.
