ICCAC Research Grant: Accepting Proposals Aug 1-Sept 15, 2019!

Thank you for your interest in the ICCAC Research Grant. The Research Committee has updated the application process and is now accepting applications for two grand awards valued up to $1500 each.

Keep in mind:

  • Principal Investigator must be an ICCAC Member
  • Research protocol will need to be submitted with the Application to assist in grant proposal grading either by emailing all required documents to research@vadcoordinator.org or uploading on the website a time you fill out the application
  • Research can include US and Non-US based centers, but will be awarded in US dollars by a blind review of ICCAC Research Committee Members
  • Topics can include any innovative MCS (temporary or permanent support) focused research, ECMO, patient and caregiver quality of life, adverse events or any other patient-centered situations or improvements
  • Budgets will must be requested along with the submission of the research grant application

Outcomes of reviews will be shared in October 2019, with final summary of scores and feedback from reviewers made available after award winners’ acceptances.

Mission

The International Consortium of Circulatory Assist Clinicians (ICCAC) is a professional mentoring organization of mechanical circulatory assist device clinicians whose mission is to share information, educate and support individuals in this field to achieve optimal outcomes for patients requiring mechanical circulatory support, and to support efforts in the area of device clinical research and development.

Changes to Membership Renewal

Enrollment Period
An "enrollment period" will be active January 1 through March 1 each year. During this time, you may register and will not be charged until the "enrollment period" closes on March 1. This is to facilitate the tiered membership discounts.

Note on Enrollment Period and Discounts
Once enrollment ends for the year (March 1), the institution is "locked in" at their current tier. For example, if two individuals from "Hospital A" register before March 1, they will both receive a $25 discount on their membership. If a third "Hospital A" employee registers after the enrollment period, they will also receive the $25 discount. Registering after enrollment ends will not bump up the institution to the next tier. 

Tiers reset every calendar year and are recalculated based on the number of individuals who are registered by March 1 for each institution.

In order to qualify for the tiered membership discount, each member from your Institution (ie Mayo Clinic, John Hopkins, etc) must enter their Institution Email Address on the Registration Form (ie @mayo.edu, @jhmi.edu, etc).
